本課程目的，在於給予學員攝影敘事的入門技巧，以及對攝影史的初步認識；當中亦會透過解讀古今大師的作品，介紹學者就分析相片所建立的理論框架。進一步讓學員擴闊視野，理解影像敘事的思考模式，從而學會用相片創作自己的圖像故事。

• 我們如何透過相機 / 相片觀照自己

 第三課 , 家庭相簿

• 爸爸媽媽是攝影大師, 閱覽一些特別家長的藝術級家庭相簿。
• 男對女, 討論Nicholas Nixon (Browns Sister, Family Pictures) and Sally Mann (Immediate Family , South point)

 第四課 , 假日照片和隨手拍

• 任何人都能做攝影師！1891年柯達盒子攝影機：「你只要按掣，其他我們攪定！」
• 多於快樂回憶—階級和旅遊, Martin Parr (The Last Resort, Small World, Common Sense and The Boring Postcard) and Simmons Laurie (Tourism Series)

 第五課, 這片土地真優美，是嗎？

• 從十九世紀到現代香港——畫意攝影的追隨者還應該被視為大師嗎？

This course is designed to give participants an introduction to the fundamental story telling techniques of photography and beyond, supplemented with a walk-through of master works in different subject matters as well as the approach and analytical framework developed by various western theorists. The course will not only open up ones eyes but also enhance the way ones mind thinks, enabling the student to understand how to fashion their own story through the photographic image.

Lesson 3, The Family Album

• Every mother and father is a great photographer: We will look at examples of a few rather ‘special’ parents whose family albums have become a work of art
• Man Vs Woman: Discussion on Nicholas Nixon (Browns Sister, Family Pictures) and Sally Mann (Immediate Family , South point)

Lesson 4, Holiday Photos and Snapshots

• Anyone can be a Photographer!: The 1891 Kodak box camera ” You press the bottom, We do the rest”

Lesson 5, The land is beautiful or Is it?

• From the 19th century to modern Hong Kong – Should Pictorialist followers still be honoured as master?
